Shelley’s career in the dental field impressively spans over 30 years so far, and she’s looking forward to having a brand-new beginning as part of our team! She attended Lakeland Community College for her education and has professional experience in multiple practice settings, including periodontics, cosmetics, and pedodontics. She’s also attended numerous continuing education courses in order to keep her clinical skills as up to date as possible. She loves the social connection that comes with her job and is always striving to learn more from both a professional and personal standpoint, which helps her be the best she can be when it comes to assisting, educating, and encouraging others.
Shelley and her wonderful husband Ben have two adult sons named Ryan and Will. She is also the proud dog mom of a Pomeranian named Emee Lou. Outside of work, she is a Certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor and currently teaches in Madison. Other personal hobbies include hiking, biking, traveling, volunteering, and spending lots of quality time with her family!
Betsy’s career in the dental field covers an amazing 30+ years so far, with nearly half of them spent right here at our practice. She attended Indiana University at Kokomo and South Bend for her education, earning her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is also trained in CPR and nitrous oxide. What she likes most about her work is getting to meet and care for so many wonderful patients.
Betsy originally hails from Rossville, Indiana, and she and her husband Mark have three sons named Nate, Matt, and Luke. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, taking care of her German Shorthair Pointer Scout, reading, walking, and swimming. She’s generally a very happy person!
Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Sheila has been a member of our dental family for nearly five years now, and her overall career in dentistry spans over 30. She really enjoys meeting new people through her work and being able to help them enjoy happier and healthier teeth! After attending Case Western Reserve University, she studied dentistry at the Polaris Career Center. In addition to being a CDA and EFDA, she’s an orthodontic and surgical assistant who is trained in coronal polishing, CPR, nitrous oxide, medical emergencies, and more.
Outside of work, Sheila’s family consists of her husband Chris and her daughter Leah. When she has free time, her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with loved ones. Other hobbies include reading, singing, songwriting, playing guitar, and throwing around a softball. An interesting fact about her: she actually used to work as a dental assisting instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Dental & Medical Assistants.
Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Valerie, is originally from Naples, Florida, and her career in oral healthcare spans nearly 25 years so far. She earned her EFDA certification in 1997 at Case Western Reserve University and also has her radiography license. She really enjoys being able to educate patients about dentistry at work every day, as well as getting to interact with the newest technology in the field.
When Valerie isn’t busy at the practice, you can typically find her enjoying the outdoors, going on long hikes, and sailing.
