Sensitivity<\/h2>\n

When the enamel of your teeth wears down, it can expose the dentin (the layer with your tooth\u2019s nerve) and cause severe pain. No matter if the food or drink you consume is hot or cold, you\u2019re likely to experience discomfort once the temperature hits the nerve. To strengthen your enamel, try using a toothpaste geared for sensitive teeth. Also, talk to your dentist about treatment options.<\/p>\n

Abscess<\/h2>\n

If tooth decay develops and worsens to a point that the root becomes infected, you\u2019re likely to experience an abscess.
